Capturing the City of Madison from the top of the Capitol Dome required practice, opportunity, coordination, and patience. Once I had access to the location a test shoot was organized. Panoramic photography requires a copious amount of photos with a high percentage of overlap. While still learning the process, a trial run was thwarted by too few photos.

While my daughter was attending Arizona State University we made a trip to the Grand Canyon. We were not able to stay long but vowed to make a return visit. By this time I had developed my Madison, WI Capitol Dome photo, so I was determined to take a vivid panoramic photo of as much of the Canyon as I could. We returned in September 2015.
